Coraline by herringbonnes Coraline by herringbonnes
ANOTHER mock book cover for school! (It's meant to be something of a set with The Graveyard Book cover I did as well) Coralineís one of my favorite books, but since itís Neil Gaiman I think that goes without saying. Amirite or amirite?
I tried to take aspects from both the book and the movie and get something believable thatís between both of them, like orange book-boots and blue(black) movie hair!

I also tried to explain how I color a digital grayscale painting using this image, so if you're up for some word-y tutorial take a swing on down to my tubmlr: [link] ;D

Oh maaaaaaan, I just love how dynamic your poses always are! There's always such a friggin' brilliant sense of movement and action to your pieces that I'm just always blown away by, and as always your use of color is just stunning~

Oh god, you're very right. Neil Gaiman is just... guh. No words. Have you read the Coraline graphic novel? It's much creepier than the movie, especially because of the more realistic style.
